The survey is carried out as a result of the large presence of young black people in the company's selection processes. In this way, the survey seeks to understand whether other institutions are also adhering to diversity and inclusion, in addition to boosting them into the job market.
The Ethos Institute also released a survey that showed 57% of these young blacks in the position of apprentices, and another 28% as interns. Remembering that this data is valid in view of the increase in programs aimed at young black people, which makes it even easier.
The result of the survey carried out by the company Cia de Talentos and Google indicates that 49% of black interns do not feel welcomed in their workplace, while another 75% say they are not represented by a leader of the same race.
In addition, the survey also shows that 20% do not feel prepared to seek an internship or apprentice, and another 32% believe that they are not being well oriented at their Universities regarding the search for the job market. work. Still, 42% say they are worried about hiring companies because they are of another race.
Given this information, it is important to note that just hiring young black people in the labor market is not enough to create an inclusive and diverse environment. Since, for this to happen, it is first necessary to respect the specificities of each candidate, offering great opportunities to grow within the internship program so that the environment becomes more welcoming and egalitarian.
