Female attack is uncommon

Sadly, mass attacks on schools in the United States have become commonplace since 1966. According to information from The Violence Project, 191 cases were registered, four of which were performed by women. By 2023, as the K-12 School Shooting Database online project also pointed out, 89 shootings in American schools were recorded.

On Twitter, the mayor of the city expressed himself about the tragedy:

“On a tragic morning, Nashville joined the long dreaded list of communities that experienced a school shooting. My heart goes out to the families of the victims. Our whole city is with you,” said John Cooper.
