Applications for the 2023 Capes award open until February

O Capes Award University Talent of 2023 has applications for higher education students open until February 22, despite the fact that the Ministry of Education initially informed that they would be closed on January 22, which was an error, which has since been duly corrected by the MEC.

According to the MEC, in order to compete for the award, it is necessary to have taken the National High School Examination (And either) in the year 2021 and have effectively entered the higher education course in 2022. In addition, it is necessary to prove regular enrollment in the higher education institution, be it public, private or military, as well as having no debt with research funding agencies or with the Capes itself. The Capes Award tests will consist of 80 objective questions about general knowledge, carried out on computers in established by Capes, and aim to “recognize the performance of students with a high degree of development of their skills cognitive”. The test application locations will begin to be disclosed from March 2nd, and the application will take place on the 26th, also of March.

The first 1,000 placed in the event will receive a prize of R$ 5,000. The results will be released in May, and the prizes will be paid by December of this year, according to the deadline stipulated by the institution.
