answering questions

After the publication of a new table of grants and grants on the website, CAPES received many questions, most of which were the same. Therefore, the Foundation decided to do a live to answer the main questions and others that could arise during the transmission of the event.

In this case, the webinar took place last Wednesday, the 15th, on the Foundation's own YouTube channel and was available on the platform for students to consult.

On the occasion, the director of Programs and Scholarships in the country, Laerte Ferreira, participated in the discussion, in addition to the general coordinator of institutional promotion of Graduate Studies, Lucas Salviano.

Through chat, students were able to share their opinions and doubts, which made the whole conversation very interactive. In addition, there was an extensive explanation regarding the granting of scholarships in order to direct the student and researcher as to the necessary steps to obtain the scholarship.

Details on awarding scholarships

On Tuesday, the 14th, CAPES released the table of grants for stricto sensu graduate programs. These grants will include the DS, Proex, Prosup, Prosuc programs, in addition to the Dean's Quotas. Another announcement concerns the number of scholarships that will be available in 2023, which has increased compared to the previous year.

In this case, the number went from 87.9 thousand benefits for scholarship holders to 93.2 thousand. In addition, more than three thousand courses will receive additional grants this year.

Furthermore, it is worth mentioning that, since 2020, Capes considers the score obtained in the Capes Quadrennial Assessment. It also considers the Municipal Human Development Index and the Average Title of courses to grant scholarships.
