5 Chinese apps banned in India

- free fire
One of the most popular online games in the world has been banned from Indian territory, as they claim that, in addition to inciting violence, the Chinese government spies on Indian citizens through the app.
- Beauty Camera
The photo-editing app is banned from operating in the country, as the ministry says the Chinese government wants to impose, through indirect means, China's beauty standards.
- alibaba
The app, which works as a Marketplace (virtual space where buyers and sellers can do business), was also banned in India.
- Dual Space Lite
Even the cell phone space optimization program did not escape determination, because, according to the ministry, this This type of application can be dangerous as it has access to smartphone management and can steal data personal.
- Boom Bass Booster & Equalizer
The application is intended to help you equalize musical instruments, however, the Indian government claims that the permissions requested by the app are invasive.
Information Technology Law
The Ministry of Information Technology has issued an injunction for Google and Apple to block access to these applications in Indian territory. Since such a prohibition is in accordance with Section 69A of the Information Technology Act of 2000.
Furthermore, this is not the first time that the Indian government has decided to ban apps from China. In some other occasions like in June 2020, the ministry has banned 34 apps including TikTok, Shareit and others.
