ProUni has applications open and 200,000 scholarships available

The University for All Program (ProUni) began receiving applications last Tuesday, the 28th. There are 288 thousand vacancies for scholarships in private institutions for the year 2023. The Ministry of Education (MEC) advises that candidates should apply through the Single Portal for Access to Higher Education.

This is a Federal Government program for scholarships in private institutions, full or partial, aimed at those who wish to attend graduation and training in higher education. Candidates who took the National High School Examination (Enem) test in 2021 and 2022 will be able to apply for scholarships.

ProUni: vacancies, rules, calendar and modalities

There will be 288,112 thousand scholarships for this edition: 78,354 thousand which are 50% and 209,758 thousand 100% full scholarships. Students who have a per capita family income of 1.5 minimum wages are entitled to a full vacancy. Partial benefits will be given to those who prove an income of up to three minimum wages.

As a basic rule, participation in the Enem test is required, not being a trainee and not having accessed any other undergraduate course. ProUni is only for those who are immigrating to higher education for the first time. The other condition is to have the minimum average of the Enem score of 450 points. You also cannot have zeroed the wording.

ProUni Calendar

  • Registration: February 28th to March 3rd;
  • First Call: March 7;
  • Proof of documents and possible additional selection process: March 7th to 16th;
  • Second Call: March 21;
  • Proof of documents and possible additional selection process: March 21st to 30th;
  • Period to show interest in the waiting list: April 5th and 6th;
  • Waitlist: April 10th;
  • Proof of documents and possible additional selection process: April 10th to 19th.

ProUni modalities

  • High school student at a public institution;
  • Student at a private institution in high school with a full scholarship;
  • Student at a private institution in high school with partial or no scholarship;
  • Student who attended high school in public school and private school with partial scholarship (or without scholarship);
  • Disabled person;
  • Basic education teachers who want to study teaching or pedagogy.
