PCD candidates were eliminated
According to the ITA, applicants with disabilities were previously disqualified from the selection process due to medical conditions. With the change, now those people who have been accepted into the selection process will also have access to the full educational opportunities provided by the institution.
With the change, students will be able to enroll using civilian entry procedures without having their military training completed. A multidisciplinary team will review approved applications to determine if the project ITA's educational program has the prerequisites to meet the unique educational needs of these candidates.
New inclusion regulation
According to the institution, a candidate with a visual impairment applied and requested a test with the type of sheet A3 with the font size 18 Arial, a request that will be fulfilled. Overall, there are 9,364 candidates who will compete for 150 positions, with 36 going to those who choose the military career.
If the candidate who is a PCD is disqualified during the health inspection phase of the process, he or she may request permission to be exempt from the Air Force Commander and, in that case, he will be admitted to the reserve officer preparation course (CPOR).
Pedagogical analysis of ITA
The candidate will be evaluated by a multidisciplinary team that will determine if the ITA educational project has the potential to address individually the special educational needs of the PCD candidate without interfering in the performance of activities related to school.
Stages of the selection process
The tests were administered on Sunday, the 16th, at 13:00 (Brazilian time). They lasted five hours. The first phase included questions in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Portuguese and English.
