Changes to the top of Forbes' list of the world's richest men
the american Elon Musk, owner of the Tesla company, had been at the top of the list since September 2021 and at the time beat Amazon founder Jeff Bezos from the top. And currently who removed Musk from the post was Arnault.
The Frenchman, aged 73, leads around 70 brands of various products, including: clothing, cosmetics, wines and other luxury items. Big brands like Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, Sephora and Chandon are also part of this list.
According to Forbes, Arnault's net worth as of Tuesday, the 13th, was estimated at $188 billion, which corresponds to around R$997 billion.
In contrast, Musk currently has a fortune of $178 billion, about R$944 billion. When he was named the richest man in the world, Elon was worth $185.7 billion. The then chief executive and biggest shareholder of Tesla, the seller and developer of electric cars, has a 14% stake in the company's profits.
The drop in Musk's earnings, and consequently his departure from the top of the list, has been justified by experts due to the fall in Tesla's shares. This occurred in the same period that the American bought Twitter and generated many conflicts. Many people did not agree with the sale and criticized Musk, with the purchase having a negative impact.
