The reason for the disappearance of a UFSC professor was clarified by the Military Police of Santa Catarina (PMSC). Teacher Núbia Saraiva Ferreira had been missing since Friday (7th) and was located last Saturday night, July 8th.
According to the investigation, Núbia Ferreira, 51, is suffering psychologically and voluntarily left her home on July 7. She was found by the Military Police in the North of the Island, in Florianópolis.

Nubia was emotionally shaken and needed medical attention in the UPA (Emergency Care Unit), where she received the necessary care. Afterwards, she was discharged and sent to her family.
Colleagues from work reported that the location was carried out after searches for Nubia's car. However, the information was not confirmed by those responsible for the investigation.
Other friends and colleagues, who asked not to be identified, said that, in the days before the disappearance, the teacher had already shown unusual behavior. One of the interviewees said that now she just hopes that she will get well soon.
So far, no other information about the health status of the teacher has been released.

In an attempt to find the teacher, family and friends shared photos and phone numbers on social media to help the Military Police of Santa Catarina search.
Núbia was born in Porto Alegre (SC), graduated in Letters from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul and completed a master's degree in Theory and Linguistic Analysis at the same university.
Afterwards, she pursued her doctorate at UFSC, where she currently works as a professor in postgraduate courses at the Department of Vernacular Language and Literature. She is also a professor at the Center for Communication and Expression (CCE) at the Federal University of Santa Catarina.
