The request in particular was transferred to the deputy and also former Minister of Human Rights, Maria do Rosário (PT), who is completely focused on resuming the discussion of social issues. Check it out now.
Creation of measures for the street population
“Assistance to the most vulnerable people, especially the homeless population and Brazilian children, are the concerns that President Lula has very directly. Our future first lady spoke to me about these two aspects and gave me this message”, said congresswoman Maria do Rosário in an interview.
“There is a concern that the commission dedicate itself to all themes, but that it pay special attention to Brazilian childhood and families with children who are living on the streets,” she said.
For now, there are still not many details about these new measures that are possibly being created to come into force in the next government. The moment now, for Lula's team, is to study and discuss the agendas that are open in the current government to achieve the budget proposed by them for next year.
An important piece of information to be announced is that Maria do Rosário is a very strong name to occupy the chair of the Ministry of Human Rights in the year that comes, however this is still nothing more than an assumption, since the newly elected president has not yet confirmed any of the names that will lead the ministries of the government.
Changes to CadÚnico
Some recent studies show that a significant part of the street population cannot perform your enrollment in the Single Registry (CadÚnico), the gateway to some social projects in the government. According to the former Minister of Social Development and Fight against Hunger, Tereza Campello, the plans for next year show some changes in the system.
“The government treated the Cadastro Único very badly, froze the Cadastro Único, created a parallel register, created a parallel application and with that generated a set of information on beneficiaries and people who became poor because of the pandemic or because of the crisis”, pointed out Tereza campello.
“Many people think that there is fraud in the register. I don't see it like that. People were misguided and misinformed. There is no social assistance network supporting this because the Federal Government ignored the social assistance network. So many people started to register individually. So today you have a very problematic record that has to be reviewed”, she added.
