For those who don't know, Twix is a chocolate bar with a shiny golden packaging, with red lettering and a white outline. The great differential of this bar is the presence of caramel, which has an unmistakable pull.
Hidden message in Twix packaging
On social networks, users are claiming that there is a hidden message on the packaging of this chocolate. According to them, there is a hidden meaning in the circle that is on top of the letter “i” in the name Twix. If you notice, there are two bars inside the circle. And netizens are saying that that pause button in the logo refers to the slogan used by Twix in the early 2000s, which defended the idea of “I need a moment”.
The commercials at the time featured images of the chocolate bar and, to make its consumption more attractive, related the act of consuming the candy to a moment of rest and relaxation. Voiceovers like “When you need a moment, munch on Twix” were common at the time. Other ways of taking or needing a break were using the expression “Needing a moment”.
Unfolding of the mystery
Many users of social networks were surprised by the message, because they had not noticed the pause symbol in the circle of the letter “i” on the Twix packaging. "I hadn't noticed 'Pause' until now and I paused," says one. Some people, however, claim that it's two mini chocolate bars inside the candy logo and not a pause button.
The Twix chocolate bar is old and was first produced in the UK in the year 1967. His arrival in the United States happened just eight years later, in 1979. To form the name of the chocolate, two words are combined: Twin and Bix. In English, the word bix is the abbreviation of the name biscuit.
