The pyramids of Egypt are a point of attraction, not only for tourists looking for the city for fun and leisure, but also for scholars and scientists who want to unravel its mysteries, such as the fact that the three pyramids are aligned. So, now see in this article the basic reason why some scientists maintain that the pyramids were built according to the solar alignment.

The three pyramids, Cheops, Chephren and Mycerinus, present the same type of error: they rotate slowly counterclockwise, starting from the cardinal points.
There have been theories about how they were aligned for a long time. One suggests that the builders used the position of the Pole Star or the shadow of the Sun. However, other researchers propose a simpler solution to a complex problem: the Egyptians may have used the autumnal equinox as a guide some 4,500 years ago.
However, nowadays there are theories that can explain in a more academic and assertive way about the effect of the Pyramids being aligned.
Why would the pyramids be aligned?
The equinoxes occur twice a year, in autumn and spring, and are the only times when the Sun is perfectly aligned with the Equatorial Plane here on Earth. Thus, sunlight affects both hemispheres. On some occasions, day and night last exactly the same amount of time.
Equinox measurements were not considered as a possible alignment method because it was believed that they would not provide enough. However, the work of some experts suggests that there is a way to work: using a mechanism known as a gnomon, which generates a shadow used for orientation.
While this is a very plausible study, unfortunately, the Egyptians have left us with little evidence to say this more precisely. There are no engineering documents or architectural plans discovered with technical explanations demonstrating how the ancient Egyptians aligned any of their temples and pyramids.
