Brazilian chocolates are awarded abroad
Gone are the days when, for a chocolate to be considered good, it had to be imported, as the number of awards for our chocolate outside Brazil is growing. For example, in 2021 alone there were several tributes and decorations, and the Brazilian sweet was among the top 50 in the world according to the Cocoa of Excellence Awards.
But that's not all, because this year Brazil has already received more awards for the production of quality chocolates. After all, the 2022 edition of the Belgium Chocolate Awards Contest gave second place to Belgian chocolate Nicolas. In this case, the production of this takes place here in Brazil, and with the use of almonds from Pará. In addition, in 2019, Brazil had already received the seal of credibility as a producer and exporter of fine cocoa by the Cocoa Organization (ICCO).
Brazilians consume a lot of chocolate
Most of the chocolate that is produced in Brazil is in the country itself, after all, Brazilians consume this sweet a lot. Not to mention that it is used to make several other handicraft products, such as cakes, truffles and bonbons, as well as we usually offer chocolates as gifts on special occasions.
On the other hand, the country is also a major exporter, with Argentina being the main international destination for our chocolates. However, other countries are also starting to open up to receive them, as is the case of the United States and Chile. Certainly, the awards will make Brazil more prominent abroad.
