Changing the language in a browser or smartphone
Step 1: Launch the Netflix app on your mobile device (Android device) or open the page in your browser and select your profile.
Step 2: Click on the dropdown menu on the profile icon at the top right corner of the screen and select ‘Account’.
Step 3: Select change your profile language in the 'Profile & Parental Controls' section.
Step 4: Select your preferred display language from the list and click save at the bottom of the screen.
If you use an iOS device, visit your 'Account' by accessing Netflix on the web or your browser and follow the same steps.
Changing the Language on a Smart TV
Step 1: Launch the Netflix app on your Smart TV and select the edit icon below each profile on the profiles page.
Step 2: Click on the ‘Language’ option on the page that opens and select your preferred language from the list.
Step 3: Save and continue streaming.
Change language and subtitles in a movie/episode in progress
Step 1: Launch the Netflix app on your phone or TV or open the page in your browser.
Step 2: Select the movie or series you want to watch and go to the Audio and Subtitles option in the lower right corner of the screen.
Step 3: Select your preferred language for audio and subtitles and continue watching.
Pro tip: You can also customize the subtitles by changing the font, font size, font color, background color or even add shadow. Just visit – Account > Profile & Parental Controls > Subtitle Appearance.
