In the world of lifting weights, ranging from 150 kg to 380 kg, in addition to the intense routines of training and physical activities, the athlete must eat a lot to provide the necessary energy for the body.

If you're curious to know what the strongest person in the world eats before competitions and during training, see the list below for inspiration. However, be sure to look for a nutritionist if you want to start your weightlifting journey.

eat in large quantities

Brian claims that it may sound like fun, but for bodybuilders, one of the most difficult tasks is exactly eating. In moments close to competitions, about 8000 kcal are consumed per day. Already on tournament days, it's 10,000 to 11,000 calories daily.

Several kilos of meat, rice and fruit

In hypertrophy diets, proteins are fundamental, and red meat is the most indicated in these cases. Shaw claims he consumes about a pound of meat in just one meal.

For breakfast, Shaw consumes two cups of rice, eight scrambled eggs and orange juice mixed with spinach. At other meals, he adds fruits such as apples or blackberries, in addition, of course, to the large amount of meat.

Consumption of protein shakes

To complement the amount of calories needed for his training and competition periods, Brian Shaw also makes use of protein shakes. The athlete says that he likes to eat a lot, however, it is not always possible to eat the necessary amount daily.

Favorite dessert for fun times

As human beings do not only live on a healthy diet, Brian also tends to have a more caloric and fatty meal outside of the normal hypertrophy diet. So his favorite dessert is cheesecake.

With the guidance of a nutritionist, the athlete claims that it is possible to do this. However, instead of eating just one spoonful, the bodybuilder consumes four large pieces of cheesecake in one sitting.
