Plants that grow in water: an easy way to grow at home

How to apply this technique?

This is a very common practice in flower shops and, mainly, in party hall ornaments. Especially for room decoration arrangements, this type of cultivation is ideal, for this reason, glasses of different shapes and sizes are often used.

Since they are grown in water, this technique has earned the name of aquaculture. In it, in addition to the plants and flowers themselves, other parts of the plant, normally hidden in vases, are also exposed, such as the stem and roots.

Plants that do well in water

Among the plants that can be grown in water are:

  • Chlorophyte;
  • Singonium;
  • Jiboia;
  • Nobody can with me;
  • Lucky Bamboo.

These five plants are very popular and therefore easy to find. Its foliage is beautiful and evergreen, which is why it looks great in decorative arrangements to green your home.

To grow them, you need to wash their roots well. Then put it in a glass, leaving only the root and stem in the water. It is important that the leaves do not touch the water!

Also, you need to change the water once a week or when it starts to get cloudy. To keep your little plants healthy, you also need to leave them in a well-lit place, where there is no direct incidence of sun.

If you notice that they need fertilization, dilute a little rooting liquid according to the instructions for the product. Thus, apply three drops to each container with the plant, once a month.
