Through a publication made on March 6, by Google on the Google Workspace Updates blog, the company announced its newest novelty, which is the new interface that will be part of Google services.
The company claims that it intends to make the experience in its services simpler and more intuitive. Google points out that with the new interface it will be easier for you to find the most common tools.
The Drive, Docs, Sheets and Slides services will still have the same features, what changes now is just the your design, which will receive a more modern look, with rounded edges and the use of colors to differentiate functionalities.
The design changes
You can see changes to the look of the platform everywhere: they're in the background, in the comments and buttons and were rethought precisely to facilitate the use of existing functionalities and “minimize confusion”.
In Drive, it is possible to notice that buttons, menus and windows are different, in addition to relocating functions to new positions, aiming to make them as intuitive as possible when using the service.
There are also new design resources, such as, for example, search filters for research, leaving the option of selecting several items at the same time for the user, and; batch operations, for frequently performed activities.
In addition, Google has taken care to make the main functions as convenient as possible.
When will the features arrive?
If you have difficulty adapting to sudden changes, there's no need to worry about the shock of design change, after all, the changes will happen gradually, so that you can create familiarity.
The changes will start from March 6th, and it may take 15 days for the changes to take place completely.
