The new Bolsa Familia was guaranteed by a provisional measure signed by President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT). During the first days of March, new additions arrived at the largest social program in Brazil. Additional Bolsa Família
Along with the provisional measure of the new Bolsa Família, the federal government announced three additional ones. The values, together, guarantee that the minimum is R$ 600 per family. These were the announced additions:
- Early childhood: additional R$ 150 for families with children up to 6 years old;
- Pregnant women: the value of R$ 50 was guaranteed for pregnant women;
- Family Variable: additional BRL 50 for people between 7 and 18 years old.
The additional R$ 150, for Early Childhood, will be paid from the month of March. The additional Family Variable and Pregnant Women, for the amount of R$ 50, will only be paid from the month of June, as announced by the federal government.
Following the table presented, a family receives at least R$ 600. If you have a child up to 8 years old (R$ 50), a 1 year old (R$ 150) and another 5 years old (R$ 150), the value reaches R$ 950. If you have a 16-year-old in the same family, the amount of R$ 50 is added, reaching a total of R$ 1,000.
