What is mold and how to remove it from clothes?

Mold is the popular name for fungi, which are microorganisms. Fungi, in turn, divide into molds and yeasts. Like bacteria, fungi like moisture. Therefore, they are more common during colder periods. It's not uncommon for mold to appear in closets and wardrobes, so they can contaminate clothes and leave pretty ugly stains. To end this problem, check out the following tips and avoid losing your pieces!

1. Vinegar

Vinegar can be an ally in removing mold from dark parts. Just add a tablespoon of vinegar to a cloth and rub the stain until it is completely gone. If your clothes are very moldy, you can soak them in a bucket of water and vinegar for about 10 minutes. Then wash it normally.

2. Boiled milk

Milk is great for removing stains from lighter, more sensitive fabrics. Regarding the step by step, just heat up some milk and put it on the place with the fungus. Wait until the garment appears lighter and then wash the garment as usual. In the case of colored and more sensitive pieces, put a little vinegar in the washing water, this way you will not only ensure that the stains are removed, but also that the fungus is removed from the piece.

3. Bleach and sugar to remove mold from white clothes

This tip is great for removing mildew stains from white clothes! Mix 1 liter of bleach with 1 cup full of water and place in a bucket. After that, place the stained piece and wait until the stain disappears. Finally, wash the piece normally.
