A new way of welcoming
The idea came from universities in Japan, which realized that young people, when sad, resort to bathrooms to be alone or isolated. Unfortunately, this moment can be very conducive to the development of ideas related to suicide, in addition to bad thoughts about life.
Thus, the intervention strategy should be able to get in touch with these adolescents and young people at this time. For this, we resorted to printing motivational and welcoming messages on toilet paper. With this, it is expected that this moment will become less painful and with more chances of improving mood.
For example, in one of the messages it is possible to read: “You are going through difficult times, but pretending that everything is fine; you don't have to explain everything to us… but why not try”? Here, the main objective of the intervention is to encourage psychotherapy among younger people.

Unfortunately, this Asian country needs to do a lot to lower suicide rates among the younger population. In this case, experts warn about how a lifestyle that is too restricted to academic and work obligations can lead to a very dangerous psychic illness.
For this reason, Japanese authorities are increasingly willing to make the country a welcoming environment for young people, especially in study spaces, such as universities.
