Understand Encceja
Encceja had already gone through a schedule change before, with the last date set for application being October 22nd. Inep informed that the change to November 19 was due to a delay in the approval of the bidding, which made it impossible to distribute the participants in the test locations within the foreseen.
There was also a change in Encceja's schedule for detainees. The tests will be held on November 21st and 22nd, in prisons and socio-educational institutions.
new times
Last week, Inep informed the new Encceja application times. The reason for the change was the effect of daylight saving time in several states, which would make the tests start still at dawn in places like Acre, where at this time of year the difference reaches three hours less than Brasilia.

Encceja is a way to obtain certification in elementary school and, starting this year, it will be used again for the completion of high school. Between 2009 and 2016, the secondary education certificate was possible based on the grades of the National High School Exam (Enem).
The elementary school Encceja will have 30 questions about Natural Sciences, History and Geography in the morning, and another 30 questions in the afternoon about Portuguese Language, Modern Foreign Language, Arts, Physical Education, Math.
The high school Encceja will consist of 30 questions on Natural Sciences and its Technologies and Human Sciences and their Technologies, applied in the morning, plus 30 on Languages and Codes and their Technologies and Mathematics and their Technologies during the evening.
All participants, regardless of level, will have to write in the afternoon. This test scores from 0 to 10 and the average required for certification is 5 points.
In objective tests, each area allows the student to reach up to 200 points. To obtain the certificate, the participant needs to achieve an average of 100 points in each.
If the participant achieves the required score in one or more subjects, but does not achieve the average in all, it is possible to request the declaration of proficiency. With the document, the student will take the Encceja 2018 only in the areas where he/she needs to obtain the necessary grade.
Requests for certificates and statements of proficiency are made at the Departments of Education and institutions associated with Inep for the issuance of the Encceja document.
