How does FIES and ProUni work?
Both Fies and ProUni are programs that guarantee access to private higher education institutions. In the case of ProUni, there is the possibility of guaranteeing a scholarship, which can be partial or full, and the student is exempt or pays only part of the monthly fee. In the case of FIES, the Government finances the university's monthly fees and the student must pay the amount after graduation.
Furthermore, it is worth remembering that FIES will also offer financing that may be partial or full. In case of partial funding, the student must pay part of the monthly fee during graduation and continue with the payment after graduation. In this case, the student should keep in mind that he will have a period after the end of the course to start paying off the debt. This ensures that he has the possibility of finding a job in his field of training.
Finally, pay attention to the fact that students who have taken the Enem from 2010 to now can participate in the FIES. In the case of ProUni, it is necessary to have participated in the last edition of the exam, which was in 2021.
Date of FIES and ProUni 2022.2
This will be the second time that vacancies for the program will be opened this year, since there was also an offer in the first semester. As announced by Minister Victor Godoy, these are the next dates:
- PROUNI: August 1 to 4, 2022.
- FIES: August 9th to 12th, 2022.
For now, there is still no concrete information about the offer of vacancies, as there is still no public notice. Therefore, the student must pay attention to the portal of the MEC to secure the information as it comes out.
