First of all, it is important to point out that the families that receive the gas voucher are those registered in the Cadastro Único. In that first week of payments, the beneficiaries who will have access to the amount are the same ones who have the NIS number ending in 1, 2 and 3. They will receive it on October 11th, 13th and 14th, respectively.
How much will each beneficiary receive?
Now in October, the amount of the aid will be equivalent to the national average price of the 13 kg cylinder, which currently remains at R$ 110. It is necessary to recall that, in September of that year, Petrobras announced a drop in the price of gas sold at refineries. Before it was sold for BRL 4.03, but now it will cost BRL 3.78. Despite the decrease in value, reseller stores have not yet adjusted the price for the final consumer.
If companies want to sell the cylinder directly to the consumer and still make a 100% profit, the cost of the cylinder will be R$98. Adding the fees and taxes on top of that price, the value will become R$ 110.
Who is entitled to gas allowance?
The people who are entitled to this benefit are those who are registered in the Single Registry. To continue receiving the benefit or join the queue for it, you must meet certain requirements:
- Have a monthly per capita family income below or equal to half the minimum wage (R$ 606);
- Be enrolled in the Single Registry for Social Programs of the Federal Government;
- People who live in the same household where someone receives the Continuous Cash Benefit (BPC);
- Elderly people aged 65 or over and people with disabilities who prove they are unable to support their families;
- Families that are being monitored by urgent protective measures that are or are not under the command of women who have been victims of domestic violence.
