Income from money in savings
The low risk associated with the return on savings has made this investment one of the most popular in Brazil for many years. Additionally, its ease of operation is also a crucial factor in attracting more and more investors.
Despite its popularity, there are still many doubts about the practical functioning of savings. Therefore, it is essential to clarify the fundamental aspects related to savings income, allowing you to invest consciously.
fee dependency
First, it is important to understand that there are other variables that influence savings income numbers. These factors will determine the return on your investment over the stipulated period. Therefore, it is essential to know what they are.
The first variable is the Selic Rate, which has a significant influence on this type of return and is currently at 13.75% per annum. The other is the Referential Rate, which is at 0.16% per annum. At the moment, the savings rate is approximately 6.167%, however, to reach this value, some rules are applied. See how it works!
From the variation of the Selic Rate, the value of the savings income is established. If it is equal to or less than 8.5%, savings will yield 70% of that amount plus the Referential Rate. On the other hand, if the Selic rate is above 8.5%, this type of investment will yield 0.5% per month, plus the Referential Rate.
As this is the current case, then the annual yield calculation to be done is as follows:
- 0.5% x 12 (months) = 6%;
- 6% + TR = annual savings income.
