According to the approved text, the purpose of this measure is to make the Auxílio Brasil Program effective, helping to mitigate the financial bottleneck related to the most needy.

Brazil Aid Program

The extraordinary benefit became part of the general benefit package of the Auxílio Brasil Program. The secretariat announced that the financial benefits of the Brazil Aid for families in poverty or extreme poverty will be added to the total benefit calculation, such as: early childhood benefit; family composition; benefit from extreme poverty; transition benefit.

In addition, in cases where Auxílio Brasil made an unjustified payment in the first six months (with the addition of the two benefits), the approved project established a 30% limitation on discounts on the amount paid monthly to families who receive the closed season insurance. The closed insurance is paid to the artisanal fisherman for the three to five months he cannot fish to preserve the species during the breeding season.
