The idea of the institutions, in summary, is to compensate this amount paid in programs that are specific to financial entities in the additional installment, however the Command immediately rejected the proposal.
Proposal in application in the main banks
In view of this, it is important to highlight that the banks started the meeting with the proposal to maintain the agenda of the clause about the PLR of the current Collective Labor Convention (CCT), emphasizing a correction of only 6.22% on top of the ceiling value stipulated.
Taking into account this offer applied in the three prominent private banks in the national territory - Itaú, Bradesco and Santander –, the percentage related to distribution in the basic rule would fall from 4.97% of profit distributed in 2021 to 4.98% in 2022. Taking into account the additional portion, this value would go from 1.69% to 1.63%.
“In 1995, banks already distributed, on average, 14% of profits as PLR. Last year, that dropped to 6.6%. Now they want to reduce even more! It's absurd!” criticized Juvandia Moreiram, president of the National Confederation of Financial Workers (Contraf-CUT) and coordinator of the National Command of Bank Employees.
After receiving the refusal on the request, the bank is in debate about a new value to negotiate.
