As soon as it was released, the news fell into the graces of Google Docs users. In their reports, many users pointed to the novelty as a tool that will optimize working relationships within the platform.

Throughout the post that announced the news, Google clarified that Docs users will be able to use emojis to react to comments from May 3, which is already this Wednesday.

It is also worth mentioning that this update will be implemented both on the Google Docs web platform and for the desktop and mobile versions of the application.

Other news

In addition to the ability to react to comments made in Google Docs with emojis, Workspace users will benefit from a few more new features.

As an example, Google Sheets users will now be able to add images to their documents just by dragging and dropping. Other image editing and adjustment features will also be implemented in the app.

Something similar was announced for Google Slides, which will now allow users to change images. just clicking on them and selecting the “replace image” option, instead of deleting the old one and adding one new.

Finally, we also have the news that it will now be possible to add Docs, Sheets, Slides and other files directly to Google Calendar. To do so, it will be necessary to drag and drop the files into the empty spaces of the calendar.

These three changes will go into effect on May 8, five days after the emojis are released in Google Docs. All updates are part of an effort by Google to optimize the workflow of its users, according to the company itself, in a statement.
