Who is entitled to the BPC?
O benefit can be requested by the “My INSS” application. To receive the transfer, you must fit these rules:
- Be Brazilian or naturalized;
- Minimum age of 65 years for the elderly;
- Portuguese nationality proving residence in Brazil;
- Be enrolled in the Cadastro Único for two years;
- If you are under 65 years of age, proof of disability is required;
- Not having access to any other type of benefit from the INSS, pension or retirement, unemployment insurance or any kind of salary from another regime.
Calendar and new BPC value in 2023
As of January, the BPC transfer will be made at the current minimum wage, at R$ 1,320.00. Before, this was an amount that had not been readjusted and was being passed on for R$ 1,212.00. It is worth mentioning that this benefit does not include the 13th and also does not leave a pension in cases of death.
