The contribution of the school in the learning process

The model followed in the classrooms can be modified to meet the needs of students who have learning difficulties, such as young people with dyslexia, for example. These methods can be used to change explanations in most subjects to improve understanding. Check what can be done.

Analyze whether students are paying attention

Studying your student's behavior is crucial to adapt the learning process to their needs, so look at how each child is doing or not paying attention to the content, identify which ones are less engaged and try to determine what is causing them to be more relaxed with the tasks.

Children can be distracted by side conversations, as they find themselves sitting in the “back” and not hearing as well because of the distance. There are many other factors. Preferably, remove those that are scattered from this area and relocate them to a new place in the room. Notice the difference.

Understand types of learning

There are four distinct learning styles that every child may need. The best way for teachers to understand and personalize instruction is to ensure that it is tailored to the needs of each group.

Check out these four styles below:

  • auditory learner: A person learns best by listening to sounds, music and audio.
  • kinesthetic learner: A person who learns best by being involved in a movement such as art and crafts, sports, and games. Visual Learner: A person who learns best through visual aids, flashcards, highlighted content, videos, and images.
  • visual learner: Visual learners are better able to retain information when it is presented to them in a graphical representation, such as arrows, charts, diagrams, symbols, and more.
  • Reading and writing: By focusing on the written word, students who read and write succeed with written information in worksheets, presentations, and other text-heavy resources.

Achieve goals with perseverance and hard work

There's no denying that even after putting in a lot of effort, kids can find their studies really challenging at times. It's crucial to realize that helping them overcome these challenges can take time, hard work and perseverance. Therefore, it is the role of teachers to help students set goals that are realistic and achievable in the short and long term.

Reward children and use positive reinforcement

Schools should include a system of rewards and positive reinforcement that can help students stay motivated in class and in their studies (according to their academic levels). In this way, such a system can help in monitoring their respective academic performance.
