Investment for college: National Treasury studies launch

The launch of a new investment category has been studied by the National Treasury. The studies are based on creating fixed income securities so that families can invest in your children's college while they haven't reached that stage yet.

It is basically an investment for the future. This is a time when the strategy has been created so that the purchase of bonds reaches more investors.

The attempt at new investment in education is a way of attracting different investors to the Treasury. Check out the projects for this year.

National Treasury Project for 2023

Last Monday, the 30th, the National Treasury launched the RendA+ investment for those who want to invest in retirement. The investment for those who want to collect the money in retirement has the readjustment based on the interest rate, ensuring that purchasing power is not lost over time. The initial investment starts at R$ 30.00.

To access the money at this time, investment offers from 2030 to 2065. The investor can keep the value for 40 years, as directed by the National Treasury. This category will be similar to the launch proposal focused on education, as stated by Rogério Ceron, the agency's secretary.

For education, the value can be redeemed between four and five years. Treasury studies have just started and there are not many statements to inform about family investment. In addition to investing in retirement, the Treasury is preparing to offer government bonds that are linked to commitments to the environment.

“If it happens this year, it has an important role in signaling that the Brazilian environmental commitment is becoming concrete”, said Ceron.

Bonds will be linked to green, sustainability, sustainable agriculture and energy transition projects. Preparations for the launch began in 2021, but it did not succeed due to harsh international criticism of the government of Jair Bolsonaro and its relationship with the environment.
