This was the possibility launched by haddad after meeting with Alckmin. So far, the project continues without further details of how the change would happen, as drivers, owners of old cars, would need to be compensated to dispose of the car.
“I came to discuss with the vice president the possibility of establishing a program that uses a fund from the oil companies and dedicates this fund to the ecological transition through the renovation of fleet of very old cars that need to be withdrawn from circulation through compensation so that the fleet can be renewed for the benefit of the environment,” said the minister of Farm.
Fernando Haddad stated that it will not be necessary to seek new resources to finance the project, as the base fund for the oil companies already exists. For the government, if the measure is implemented, it will not be difficult to deal with the compensation of drivers and the renewal of the fleet.
