Lula's government informed that there are possibilities to end the birthday withdrawal soon, as advised by Luiz Marinho (PT), new Minister of Labor.
The birthday withdrawal modality was created in 2020 and launched in April, during the government of Jair Bolsonaro (PL). The FGTS (Senior Severance Indemnity Fund) now offers the option of withdrawing the amount available from an account in the month of the worker's birthday. To join the modality, some rules were established and had to be requested by the worker himself. The main rules are to be over 18 years old, have an account at Caixa Econômica Federal and have a regular CPF status with the Federal Revenue Service.
To make the request, the worker needs to enter the FGTS application - available for Android and iOS systems - using a registered password and login. When entering the app, you need to go to the “Birthday Withdrawal” tab and follow the step by step.
Until now, the Lula government's proposal will continue to be discussed between the trade union centrals and the Board of Trustees of the FGTS.
