WhatsApp is about to launch a tool that allows users to react to messages. Although the news was only announced in January of this year, everything indicates that the company is already looking to improve the resource. According to recent information, the Google Play Beta program has released a new update (2.22.10.9) of the app, which brings more reactions/emojis to Android system users. Check this article for more details about the new WhatsApp reactions feature.

Check out more details about the new WhatsApp feature
Currently, the positive sign, heart, crying with laughter, scared, shedding a tear, and the palms of both hands, which can mean thanks or touch (highfive), are available. The new reply options should be available to Messaging app testers in the near future.
How will it work?
The new version has a “+” button that allows you to add or select any emoji on the device. In this case, as usual, the most used emojis will almost certainly be among the first options.
However, it is essential to emphasize that the new WhatsApp feature is not an innovation. Other apps like Twitter and Telegram, for example, already have this functionality for some time.
As with these other social networks, the purpose of launching this feature on WhatsApp is a way to facilitate user communication and ensure greater interaction through messages. There is currently no set date for the launch of the additional reactions feature on the platform.
WhatsApp will stop working on some devices
As the application improves and offers new functions, such as the reaction feature, it is natural that some devices no longer support this development. Because of this, there are some phones that will no longer support the app, and therefore it will no longer work. This is because some devices have operating systems (Android and iOS) that are incompatible with the messaging system. Therefore, it is worth checking if yours is on the list of cell phones that will no longer run WhatsApp to avoid future frustrations.
