Vaccination has been in gear in Brazil since the month of June. More than 124 million doses have been administered to date. With this, all states and the Federal District are already projecting a return to face-to-face classes.
So far, only 12 units of the federation have reopened schools. This if only the public school system is taken into account. When it comes to private schools, classes have been restored in 22 states.

Of course, at this moment, the return comes with a series of preventive measures. In most cases, there is a limit of students and staff who can occupy the schools. Hand hygiene and the use of masks remain mandatory. Social distancing is also being adopted.
Despite the numbers, all of Brazil should attend back to school between August and September. Only Bahia and Roraima have not defined an exact timetable for the matter. The data was released by the Estadão.
Since March 2020, students have been out of the classroom, following distance learning. The country is one of the only ones in the world that continues with paralyzed education. This is due to the aggravation of the pandemic and the government's difficulty in dealing with the issue seriously.
However, given the good projection of the current vaccination, back to school remains firmly on the agenda of the states.
