Learn how to identify important symptoms of food allergies

Some of the factors that you can look for to know if you have an allergy are:

Urticaria

After eating some food, the emergence of an itch is indicative of allergy. It resembles an insect bite accompanied by pink bumps.

Tight throat and difficulty swallowing

Inflammation of the esophagus, i.e. swelling in the throat and difficulty swallowing, is the result of an allergy.

wheezing

In an allergic reaction, compounds are released in the body, including histamine. This happens because of the reaction to the foreign body, leading to constriction of the airways. And as a result, the person has “wheezing”.

vomit

Vomiting is an important alert, but it corresponds to both allergies and food intolerances. In that case, looking for a specialist doctor and investigating is the best thing.

swollen tongue

This symptom can cause concern and in certain cases, even despair, but it is not the most dangerous. It is related to the impossibility of swallowing, however, the tongue returns to its normal size over time.

anaphylaxis

This is one of the most serious symptoms, as it affects breathing and heartbeat. In that case, it is urgent to seek a closer emergency to avoid complications.

All of these listed symptoms are food allergy alerts, however medical investigation is essential. Allergy cases can be punctual and mild, but can lead to serious consequences.
