Only 3 days was the time needed for Ammaar Reshi to “write” the children's book “Alice and Sparkle”. As is common knowledge, it is impossible for a well-crafted book with beautiful illustrations to be completed in just 72 hours.
However, this “miracle” happened through the use of cutting-edge artificial intelligence. According to Ammaar, the idea for the book came to him while he was reading a story to a child while trying to get him to sleep. The aim of the work is to show children how AI works in a “magical” way, says the author.
Using ChatGPT, Ammaar gave the AI instructions on how he wanted the story to be developed, a real team effort. Through this, the book's illustrations came to the author's mind and he applied them to another AI, known as Midjourney, responsible for producing images according to instructions. With the work finished, Ammaar published it on Amazon Kindle Publishing in the children's book category.
Reviews
Even though he is the commander of this incredible combination, Ammaar Reshi does not consider himself as the true author of the work. Including, he did not hesitate to give full credit to the AIs. However, this did not prevent him from being the target of various criticisms from many internet users. In this sense, several negative words were deferred to Ammaar, such as “unethical”, “scum”, and hate speech, for example.
Due to what happened, debates about intellectual property, ethics and copyright gained a lot of strength on the networks.
