As stated by the Federal Revenue Service, the advance payment for the declaration was made so that the taxpayer could calmly gather all the necessary documentation. In addition, it will avoid possible congestion.
It is worth noting that the start date for delivery and transmission, along with pre-filled information, will only be on March 15th.
Order of receipt of refunds:
- Seniors over 80 years old;
- Elderly between 60 and 79 years old;
- Taxpayers with any physical or mental disability or serious illness;
- Taxpayers whose main source of income is teaching.
After the priority groups, normally, the order of receipt goes according to the date of delivery of the statements.
The Federal Revenue said that this year the priority will be for people who adopt the pre-filled model or receive the refund via PIX.
Who is obliged to make the declaration in 2023?
- People who received taxable income above BRL 28,559.70 in 2022;
- Taxpayers with exempt, non-taxable or taxable income whose sum is above R$ 40 thousand;
- People with capital gain on the sale of assets or rights who carried out operations on stock exchanges whose sum is greater than R$ 40,000.
- Those who were exempt from capital gains tax on the sale of residential properties within 180 days;
- People who had gross income above R$ 142,798.50 in rural activity;
- Who had, until the end of last year, ownership of assets or rights exceeding R$ 300,000;
- People who became a resident in Brazil in any month of the last year.
