This class is an example of a transversal practice on the environment.
In Brazil, environmental education has been mandatory in schools since 1988 with the enactment of the Federal Constitution. From that moment on, the theme of the Environment becomes part of all levels of education, with the aim of making citizens aware of its preservation.
Environmental education and the environment must be worked on in a transversal and interdisciplinary way in all teaching disciplines. Thus, teachers must insert this theme in pedagogical practices so that it is possible to train students
able to develop a critical reasoning in relation to environmental problems.
