Nissan's new electric car
The future calls for more economical and sustainable vehicles. For this reason, many companies are teaming up to produce electric cars as a way to reduce the emission of pollutants on the planet. Therefore, Nissan is also investing in this new niche.
The automaker, together with Renault and Mitsubishi, intends to launch 35 electric cars by the year 2030. The alliance between the companies will involve an investment of 23 billion euros over the next five years. In addition, manufacturers will also use five new electric platforms.
Thus, the new vehicle that will replace the Micra in Europe will already be the result of this partnership. In that case, Nissan will be responsible for designing the model and Renault will be responsible for manufacturing the car.
The new model still does not have a defined name, but it will certainly have a different nomenclature, given that the current Micra / March is somewhat worn out in the European market. Therefore, Nissan should avoid associating the launch with the current lineup.
However, there is still not much technical information, nor is there a forecast for the arrival of the new electric car on the market, although it is expected that the model will go on sale by the year 2025.
Details of Nissan's new electric car so far
The presentation of the vehicle was made through a video teaser, which shows the compact in general terms. In this way, the car will apparently have a full of personality, but visually friendly, very typical of Japanese style.
Both the rear and front have LED lighting sets. In this sense, the front car is somewhat reminiscent of the MINI Cooper and the fourth generation Micra, which was the first to be marketed in Brazil.
shared production
As production will be by Renault, the car will be made at ElectriCity, which is a mega-factory of electric cars in France. Thus, this will be the second model made from the partnership, as the first will be the Nissan Townstar, an electric van.
