Eduardo Severin became known for being one of the co-founders of Facebook along with billionaire Mark Zuckerberg. The two met while in college.

Eduardo was born in São Paulo, and at the age of 11 he moved to Miami, Florida, with his older brothers. He studied at the Gulliver Preparatory School in Miami, and at the end of high school he was approved in the Economics course at the renowned Harvard University, where he graduated and met Mark. It was Eduardo who made the initial investment needed to start operating the site. The clash between the two was portrayed in the film A Rede Social, released in 2010.

Facebook played a big role in its development, helping it to become a billionaire, and the investment along with the growth saw Eduardo earn part of his wealth.

But as a good investor, as he was known, he never stopped making countless investments, and through the fund of his company B Capital, Eduardo invests in startups in Europe, Asia and the United States United. As of July 2022 alone, he has raised over $250 million in mutual funds.
