Ingredients
With some creativity, you can adapt the recipe the way you want. If you prefer, you can use your favorite fruits and even add some vegetables like onions. Also, when you go to the market or fairs to look for ingredients, it is important to choose quality items and preferably without many pesticides.
With that in mind, for a fruit skewer like the one in the recipe, you will need the following fruits:
- A chopped apple, without seeds;
- A kiwi;
- A large guava;
- Half a pineapple;
- 100 g of strawberry;
- A carambola;
- Sugar to taste.
Method of preparation
With the ingredients in hand, the preparation of the skewer is very simple. However, first of all, it is important to be careful with the hygiene of the fruits, always washing them very gently.
Then cut them into very thick slices, especially the guava, kiwi and apple. Regarding the peels, you can peel them if you prefer, but it is not mandatory. Then divide the pineapple into cubes and leave the whole strawberries. Finally, start assembling the skewers interspersing the fruits in any order you want.
With them ready, it's time to take them to the grill. For this, you will need to leave it on medium heat and protect the tip of the sticks with aluminum foil. That way, you will be able to prevent them from burning. If you prefer, you can add pinches of sugar (preferably crystal) to the fruit.
So, leaving them in the fire for about 3 minutes on each side, when the ingredients are golden brown, it's time to serve.
