One disaster caused by rainfall in the Philippines has been confirmed. According to the Center for the Prevention of Natural Disasters at the site, around 8,000 people were left homeless and had to leave their homes. The death toll reached ten people. In addition to these numbers, two people are still missing.
Local meteorology reported that rains will continue for the next few days in much of the country, mainly in Visayas and Mindanao. Fortunately, the rains may be milder than the ones seen recently.

It is estimated that the damage to agriculture and infrastructure in the country is reaching US$ 25 million. At least that's what has been pointed out by some local specialists at the prevention center.
Disasters in the Philippines: typhoons, heavy rains and cyclones
The storm caused extreme flooding in the eastern and southern Philippines, affecting an estimated 430,000 people in different locations. As reported, some areas were more affected than others. On the island of Mindanao, heavy rains caused several landslides. On Samar Island, two deaths were recorded.
Specialists point out the lack of infrastructure in the place and the precarious way in which Filipinos survive as the main cause of the increase in the number of deaths with each new disaster experienced by the country. Recently, just before Christmas, the same floods happened and caused 49 deaths, reaching 500 thousand people.
More than 51,000 of them had to leave their homes.
The estimate is that the numbers of dead and homeless will increase even more until the end of the rains. Each year, records are made of climate implications in the country: about 20 tropical cyclones and typhoons are recorded, which makes the Philippines among the most vulnerable nations when it comes to climate.
