When the couple started to work from home, the biggest issue was the differences present in housework and care for the family. There is disharmony in everything, be it washing dishes, tidying up the house or simply being more present in the children's lives.
The survey was conducted in China and South Korea with about 223 couples with dual incomes. They were asked about the amount of work they do while working from home and the extent to which it affects family commitments.
Through this research, it was discovered that men and women do not have the same experience working from home. Normally, they there is a lot more housework than they. In other words, for women, having their husbands work at home did not reduce their workload at all.
But we must also consider the flexibilities. When men's schedules are more flexible, wives are able to accomplish more professional tasks, and the same is true when it comes to the opposite. As a result, husbands can share with their wives at home when their working hours are more manageable.
The main objective of the study was to show how important flexibility and understanding are, because, in this way, couples who do not have office option and need to share domestic tasks, yes, they can make the new way of working work, with understanding and complicity.
