Be careful not to lose WhatsApp chat data
If your device is on the list where the app will no longer work, be careful not to lose your data. In this sense, you can backup chats to iCloud, iOS or Google Cloud if you use Android.
You can restore messages and media later when setting up WhatsApp on a new device, so don't worry, but back it up first so you don't forget!
