Have you ever had the experience of ordering a hamburger at a fast-food chain and it doesn't look like the ad? Although this is somewhat common, some Florida customers have decided to open a lawsuit against Burger King on charges of false advertising. According to these customers, the hamburger that came to them was nothing like what was advertised. In addition, the size would be much smaller than the advertisement showed.

false advertising
The process does not only seek compensation for those customers who felt aggrieved. In fact, the big goal would be to make Burger King pay for a whole "misleading" culture that made customers believe in sandwiches that don't exist.
Even customers who raised the accusation believe that lying about the size of the sandwich leads to monetary damages. After all, they pay for a snack that is at least 35% less than what the advertisement advertises.
Finally, the process also asks the network to try to reverse this situation as soon as possible. For this, it would be necessary to deliver sandwiches according to those advertised, and with a similar appearance. According to the lawsuit, the company would be collaborating with a culture of lies that is very harmful to the American market. In other words, that the chain contributed so that the entire fast-food sector could lie as much as it wanted in its advertisements and there was no retaliation whatsoever.
Burger King not responding
The case ended up in the publication of The Washington Post, which also revealed that the company had at least 280 complaints of the same accusation in 2021. In the publication, the newspaper demanded that BK at least comment on the situation, since the company refused to talk about the case. However, even with the newspaper's provocation, there were no responses from the restaurant, which until then has remained silent. Therefore, the outcome of the charges will need to be decided by the courts.
