Medicinal plants to treat your pain

Bone and joint pain is a very common condition, especially for people who are elderly or who don't consume enough nutrients to strengthen their bones. To treat them, there are some medicinal plants that help improve bone health, bringing benefits to the body in general.

  • White Willow Tea

Salix alba has analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties due to the presence of salicin. This is a substance very similar to the compound present in aspirin. Because of this, tea from this bark becomes an excellent option to relieve pain in the joints, with causes in rheumatoid or osteoarthritis, for example.

To make it, just mix 2 teaspoons of white willow bark in two cups of water. Start by putting the water on the fire. Once it starts to boil, wait for 10 minutes. Then add the peels, and let it rest with the fire off for 15 minutes. Done that, just drink two cups a day.

  • licorice tea

This is a very powerful tea for its anti-inflammatory action. It has glycyrrhizin and glycyrrhetinic acid in its composition, which act by reducing inflammation and joint pain caused by arthritis.

To prepare it, just use the same infusion method mentioned above. You will need 1 spoon of licorice root, as well as 1 cup of boiling water and honey to taste to sweeten.

  • Horsetail Tea

This is a plant very rich in minerals. In addition, it has many components that act as anti-inflammatories and diuretics, which are of great help in relieving bone pain.

To prepare it, mix 1 tablespoon of dried horsetail stalk and 1 cup of boiling water. Bring to a boil and simmer for about 15 to 10 minutes. Drink up to 2 cups a day after main meals.
