A study by a linguistics professor Bodo Winter at the University of Birmingham published by the Mental Floss website aimed to analyze the most popular naming of U.S and evaluate which are the most pleasant to be heard.
Winter's study was based on a study conducted by scientists at the University of Warwick that analyzed the degree of pleasure provided by different words, based on phonemes or sound units of each term. With that, they came to the conclusion that a pleasant phoneme is an important and sufficient factor for the listener to like some words more than others.
