Understand how the brain of young people and adolescents is located
Research reveals changes in the behavior of young people and adolescents during the pandemic period. Changes in eating habits and lifestyle were investigated, as well as the perceived increase in loneliness, anxiety and day-to-day stress.
The impact generated by the lockdown is global in nature. There is generalized anxiety, in which several parents report the same event: worried, fearful and depressed children. So much time of social isolation drastically affected the behaviors and personalities of young people.
If we compare the people who were generated before the pandemic with those who came after the pandemic, it is noticeable that the post-pandemic group has the worst mental health, despite not being directly linked to age group.
Research shows effects of the pandemic on young people
A study recently carried out by researchers from some universities in California concluded that the pandemic “accelerated” stages of the brains of adolescents. Many of them, involuntarily, created a resistance, which modified the aging process of the brain; on average, they aged three years.
More research is being done to find out what ramifications this will have. The children and teens who lived through the pandemic will not be in the same neurological state as those who came before them. As much as there are studies based on these issues, it is not an easy activity.
No one got through the pandemic unscathed. It was a global achievement, there is no control or cure, but treatments need to be taken into account. After all, the consequences are not healthy.
