Today, with the ease of using a credit card and even transfers via pix, it is difficult to see banknotes in shops and in our day to day life in general. We can say that paper is becoming rare – but not as rare as some banknotes that were once in circulation in Brazil.

What defines the rarity of these items are their serial numbers, some signatures of the directors of the Brazilian central bank and even the country where the item was printed. In addition, of course, there is the state of conservation of the banknotes: if they are not dented, scratched or torn.
And, incredible as it may seem, some printing errors can guarantee an extra value to the note.
