What is PIS and who is entitled to receive it?
The Social Integration Program is a tax contribution made by companies to employees of the private sector. It consists of a wage bonus to help maintain these low-income workers.
Those who worked for at least 30 days with a formal contract, with an income of up to two minimum wages, during the base year are entitled to the benefit. In 2022, PIS payment refers to the years 2019 and 2020, as during the pandemic the credit withdrawal was suspended.
According to the Ministry of Economy, more than half a million Brazilians are entitled to withdraw the PIS. However, many of them do not know that they are entitled to receive the values of the program.
At this time, the Federal Government has been paying the PIS for previous years, with no forecast for the start of payment for the base year of 2021. Therefore, if the benefit is not withdrawn or transferred by December 2022, the worker will need to wait until 2023.
How to make?
In addition to having been registered with the PIS program for at least five years, the employee must have updated data at the company and at the bank. This is because the payment of PIS, intended for workers in the private sector, is made by Caixa Econômica Federal.
The amounts are passed on directly by the companies and are kept in social accounts at Caixa. Thus, the worker does not need to make a withdrawal or any other activity to receive the money.
To cash out, the worker must download the Caixa Tem application, available for Android and iOS. Then, you must create access to use the app, and only then will it be possible to transfer the money available through the PIX or make payments.
